My Approach To Therapy

My style is warm, attuned, and straightforward. We work together in a way that feels grounded and effective, supporting you as you build skills, gain new perspectives, and reconnect with yourself and others. I practice with the understanding that different challenges require different support; anxiety, trauma, and high-performance patterns don't respond to a one single method. I utilize therapies that meet you where you are and help you move toward your goals and a healthier life. Some therapeutic interventions I utilize are:

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy reprocesses distressing memories and clears emotional blocks through a structured procedure that guides the brain's natural healing system

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) helps you face what you've been avoiding while retraining your brain to stop reacting with fear. This therapy helps to build tolerance by strengthening your internal steadiness and creating new patterns.

Brainspotting (BSP) a gentle and intuitive way to accessing and releasing trauma stored in the brain and the body by using focused eye positions. Also used to help with creative expansion

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) readily eases distress by replacing painful images with healing ones through a guided process and usually in a brief time period.

Other common treatment modalities used in my practice are:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - helps you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - teaches acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings

Positive Psychology - focuses on strengths, resiliences and enhancement

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy - helps you gain skills for distress tolerance

Parts Work - to help you understand and integrate the parts of you that may feel conflicted or stuck

Heartmath - uses biofeedback and focused breathing techniques

Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy - helps partners understand their emotional patterns, repair disconnection and create a more secure, supportive bond
