Supportive Counseling

Helping you heal, grow and reconnect with who you truly are.

Supportive counseling sessions offer a space that's fully yours. We slow things down, explore what's beneath the surface and make sense out of what's getting in the way of feeling more connected or whole. Sessions are designed to help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a supportive and non-judgmental space. I offer therapy that is compassionate and grounded. Honoring your pace I utilize evidenced based treatment modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) where we look at thought patterns and find new perspectives and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help take values-aligned actions and move toward a more flexible and meaningful life.  I use Positive Psychology to help you build on your strengths, enhance well being and reconnect with what brings you joy. This more traditional talk therapy is tailored to meet your unique needs. An integration of other therapies are a possibility as well. I offer individual supportive counseling for 55 minute sessions.

Some things we might work on together:

  • Setting and keeping healthy boundaries

  • Building psychological flexibility

  • Frustration tolerance

  • Enhancing your well being and ways to seek joy in your life

  • Building positive emotions, strength and practices of gratitude

  • Mindful practices that encourage a present moment experience

  • Radical acceptance for letting go of the need to try and control and manipulate
