Trauma Therapy
Integretating brain-based and experiential methods
to safely process traumatic events
Trauma can look like so many things. It can be from single overwhelming events, chronic stressors, or wounds that developed over time. Regardless of how it began, trauma often leaves a lasting imprint on the nervous system shaping how we think feel, respond, and relate to the world. Many people find themselves wondering why they "should be fine by now," yet still feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, reactivity, numbness or self-doubt. Trauma isn't about weakness, it's about a nervous stem that had to adapt to survive.
As a trauma-focused therapist, I help clients gently unwind these patterns so they can reclaim a sense of safety, connection and inner steadiness. My approach is grounded in neuroscience and mind-body awareness. This is a collaborative process that honors your resilience while giving you tools to move forward in a grounded, empowered way.
Treatment often used to treat trauma in my practice include brain-based therapies such as EMDR with an integration of parts work and building resources for distress tolerance and mindfulness techniques. I also utilize Heartmath, regulating the nervous system through breath and emotional resilience techniques.
