Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

EMDR can help reprocess trauma, reduce addictive behaviors, and clear performance blocks by targeting the nervous system and brain's natural healing mechanisms. The brain has an incredible ability to heal. Traumatic stress can make you feel like something is broken inside, like you'll never be the same again. The truth is, your brain and your whole nervous system was built for healing in mind. It's wired to adapt to recover and find its way back to balance even after deep pain. There is nothing wrong with you. The way you coped makes perfect sense and it speaks to your strength. Now the same part of you that protected you, can heal you. These patterns can shift and new pathways can form. With EMDR therapy your system will gently update the story it's holding so pain is no longer driving your life.

How EMDR works:

EMDR helps the brain process and release stuck memories, emotions, and body responses. Through a series of therapeutic phases we will activate both sides of the brain, similar to what happens during REM sleep.

The brain begins to reprocess the memory and it becomes less distressing. What once felt overwhelming can feel neutral, distant, or just like something that happened, without the emotional charge.A positive belief is strengthened and helps replace old negative beliefs with new empowering ones.
